A 20-year-old man kidnapped from his native village in Rajasthan four days ago was rescued by Haryana police in Faridabad in the wee hours of Thursday.
The man was tied with ropes in a farmhouse for the last a few days when the police team rescued him.
On a specific information about suspicious movement of some youth, the sleuths of Criminal Intelligence Agency (CIA) wing of Sector 30 Faridabad raided an abandoned structure in village Manjawali in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
The CIA team led by sub-inspector Chattar Singh arrested two youth armed with sophisticated weapons from the spot. They were identified as Harun of district Palwal and Deepak of Faridabad.
According to police, Harun was carrying 315 bore pistol loaded with two live cartages where as Deepak was armed with a sharp edged iron rod.
“During the course of interrogation, the duo revealed that they have kidnapped a youth from Rajasthan who has been kept tied with ropes inside a farmhouse in district Palwal”, CIA team leader Chattar Singh told Hindustan Times.
“The CIA team rushed to sprawling farmhouse in Chirsi village in district Palwal in the wee hours of Thursday and rescued the man whose arms and legs were tied with the ropes,” Singh said, adding, “efforts are being made to arrest the three others who fled taking advantage of the darkness.”
The victim was identified as Idrish, 20, a resident of Sheikhpur Jatt village under police station Tijara in Alwar district of Rajasthan who was kidnapped on November 8 by five youth.
Faridabad police informed Alwar police and a police team arrived in Faridabad on Thursday.
“I was kidnapped in the morning of November 8 from Tijara area after I was returning to my house with medicines for my ailing grandfather”, Idrish told Hindustan Times on phone after he was handed over to Rajasthan police.
“A case under Section 365 of IPC stands registered in Tijara police station on November 9,” Girdhari Lal, police official of Tijara police station said.
Faridabad police has also recovered Santro car used for the kidnapping of the man. The man who has done nursing course is in medical profession.
“The kidnappers were calling my father to arrange R6 lakh for my release,” Idrish said.
