An 18-year-old waiter was shot for refusing to serve ice cream at a wedding party in west Delhi's Mundka on Saturday. The victim, Ravi Raj, was busy attending to guests when Hari Om, a guard manning the banquet hall where the party was on, asked him to get some ice cream.
When Raj refused to serve him, the 33-year-old fired in the air with his licenced .12 bore double-barrel gun.
"Some fragments of the bullet hit Raj in his thigh. Hari Om fled from the spot," an investigating officer said. Raj was immediately rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. He is in a stable condition.
Hari Om has been arrested and the gun used in the offence has also been seized.
