A peculiar complaint from a Ghaziabad couple has caught the local police off guard.
A young, educated couple from Shakti Khand in Indirapuram, who had dated for four years before getting married this February, has approached the police for help.
Station House Officer (SHO) Rajesh Dwivedi said the husband showed the police some home made MMS-clips to show his wife’s “cruel behaviour”.
“With the help of the clips, he wanted to prove his wife's cruel behaviour, captured some days back,” Dwivedi told HT.
The videos depicted the woman’s abusive language and her behaviour towards her in-laws, who suffer from various ailments, the police said.
The police called the woman to the police station on Wednesday to ask her about the allegations. She also showed several audio-recordings of her husband, alleging him of harassment. She also alleged that he had taken away her jewellery, cash and other belongings and had turned her out of the house.
“The couple had spied on each other using technology and had collected evidence against each other to prove their points,” Dwivedi said.
But the police have told the couple to settle the matter through negotiations.
“In case they do not sort out the matter, their respective complaints would be lodged.”
