The state government on Tuesday transferred out Mohinder Singh as Noida chairman and brought in principal secretary (social welfare) Balwinder Kumar as chairman and CEO.
Singh will now be UP's resident commissioner in Delhi, replacing Pankaj Agarwal and will continue to be chairman of the Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway industrial development authorities.
Rama Raman, who was CEO of both Noida and Greater Noida, will now have only Greater Noida.
"The reshuffle is, by no means, a punishment for any perceived failure in tackling the land acquisition issues," a senior state government official told HT from Lucknow.
Singh had been chairman of Noida for three years when most of the acquisitions took place.
