Metro’s 3rd phase put on fast track
The city Government on Monday sanctioned Rs three crore to the Delhi Metro for preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Phase-III of the new age transportation which envisages covering another route length of 85 kms in the national capital, reports HT Correspondent.

"Delhi Government today sanctioned Rs 3 crore, as its share, for preparation of DPR of the third Phase of DMRC in Delhi," a senior Delhi Government official said.
Delhi Metro has planned for expansion and connectivity between existing routes in Delhi under the third phase.
In all, Rs six crore would be required for preparation of DPR to be shared equally by the city government and the Union Government.
The amount of Rs 3 crore was sanctioned in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister A K Walia, Chief Secretary Rakesh Mehta, Principal Secretary (Finance) V V Bhatt, Principal Secretary (Planning) Sumati Mehta and other senior officers of Departments of Finance and Planning.
