The Delhi Police have arrested two members of "Kaan Todu" gang, who used to steal rear view mirrors of high-end cars such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Toyota and Skoda.

Irshad, 22, and Faiyaz Ali, 32, were arrested and 31 rear views of different cars were recovered from their possession. A Maruti Alto car, which the gang used in commission of the crime, was also seized by the police.

Chhaya Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), said, "The duo was arrested following investigation into complaints received at police stations in south Delhi regarding theft of costly rear view mirrors of expensive cars."

"A team was constituted to bust the gang and on Saturday, the accused was arrested. During interrogation they revealed that they used to target two or three posh localities in the early hours of the day," said Sharma.

"They used to steal rear view mirrors of high-end sedans and delivered them to two-three receivers, including women, living in Seelampur and Brahampuri areas who would further sell them to dealers based in Jama Masjid and Meerut. They also disclosed that after receiving these mirrors, the dealers would repair and polish them for further sale in the market,” the police said.
