Monsoon is unlikely to reach the Indian capital before the first week of July, the weatherman said on Tuesday.
July 29 is the normal date for the arrival of the monsoon here. But the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said it might be delayed by a few days although pre-monsoon showers are likely.
"Monsoon may not arrive before the first week of July," an official said.
In the meantime, Delhi will remain hot. The maximum temperature is expected to go two notches above average at 41 degree celsius on Tuesday.
