More male students applied to the Delhi University this year as compared to female students, according to the office of Dean of Students’ Welfare.
There are 63,790 male candidates seeking admission to the university in the general category as compared to 53,009 women.
The trend continues in the OBC category as well with 17,543 male candidates against 7,157 female candidates. In the SC/ST and physically-challenged category, the number of male admission seekers are 11,719 as compared to 7,186 female.
Among the various boards, students from the Central Board of Secondary Education top the list with 1,32,272 applications, while those from the Indian School Certificate were 5,662.
The university authorities have sent the college and course-wise applications and the results CDs to all colleges.
