The opening of the new Delhi airport terminal by July this year will also require an additional 1,500 security personnel.

Indira Gandhi International Airport’s (IGIA’s) new Terminal 3 will cater to both domestic and international flights. A senior CISF official, who didn’t wish to be named, said manning this building apart from two other operational terminals due to increase in passenger volume will require additional force.

At present, 3,500 CISF personnel are deployed at IGIA.
