Morning rains on Tuesday brought relief to Delhiites who were experiencing sultry weather for the past few days.
The rain gauges measured 7.2 mm till 8:30 am, the MeT Office said.
The showers brought down the minimum temperature to 25.4 degree Celsius from yesterday's 28.1 degrees. A cool breeze, which blew across the city, also brought cheers to the denizens.
However, the humidity level rose to 92 per cent. Yesterday, the humidity levels oscillated between 51 per cent and 89 per cent while the maximum temperature was 37 degree Celsius.
"It was a pleasant morning. There were some showers. Luckily, there were no heavy rains like that of last Friday so there was no traffic jam," Kavita Muralidharan, who is working as an accountant in a Connaught Place firm, said.
Delhi had received 74 mm rainfall on last Friday that virtually brought the national capital to a standstill.
