Government on Wednesday said Mumbai airport faced a potential threat of an air borne attack and the intelligence was shared with concerned authorities to prevent it.
"Yes, sir. Some intelligence inputs to this effect have been received in the past," minister of state for home Mullappally Ramachandran informed Rajya Sabha.
He was replying to a question whether it was a fact that intelligence agencies had warned of air borne attack on Mumbai.
The minister said these intelligence inputs were shared on real time basis with all concerned authorities responsible for security of Mumbai airports to strengthen the security measures at the airport.
