The Delhi Police on Saturday moved a city court seeking permission to conduct a narco analysis test on three persons suspected to be involved in the murder of 35-year-old fashion designer Mona Suri. The prosecution has said it wants Mona’s husband, Naveen Suri, his friend Rajiv and his colleague Rachna to take the test.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tarun Sehrawat will consider the application on January 22, the next date of hearing. The police has also been given time till then to file a detailed status report.

Last week Mona’s father filed a petition alleging the investigation officer had not collected crucial evidence yet.

The incident occured on August 11 when Suri was set fire by two unidentified men on motorcycles outside her house in Greater Kailash Part-II. Suri succumbed to her burns after battling for life for over two months. She was reported to have suffered multiple-organ failure. Mona’s relatives had alleged the involvement of Rachna, her husband’s colleague, in the crime.
