The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Monday released a 'Wallet Book' containing information for women in distress. The book can also be used in emergency situations.
The book, released by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, contains information such as where should women go and whom should they call in case of emergency.
"Our government will coordinate with the National Commission for Women for taking the book to colleges, gender resource centres and all women in general in Delhi," said Dikshit.
"The booklet contains first-hand knowledge about dealing with different situations such as dowry and domestic violence. It also has important telephone numbers that women can use during emergency," Mamta Sharma, NCW chairperson said.
