A 21-year old woman from Nepal alleged that a group of unidentified men opened fire on her and her two friends of South African origin in Tughlaqabad Extension near Neb Sarai.
The woman said she and her friends were travelling in their car on Sunday when a Maruti Swift Dzire car blocked their way. An argument broke out between the two parties over making way in the narrow lane.
“Three-four men came out of the car holding firearms in their hand. One of them hit our car’s windshield with the pistol’s butt and damaged it while others began assaulting my friends,” she added. She said the group began firing the weapon at them and by the time police arrived at the scene, the group had fled with the car.
The police found three fired bullet shells from the crime scene. A case was registered against the unknown persons at the Neb Sarai police station.
Meanwhile, she also alleged that the cops have been harassin, attackers flee with carg her to repeatedly visit the crime spot to recount the incident. “Though I have clarified that the two African nationals were my friends and I had taken a lift in their car, the cops ruined my image in front of my family members by cooking up a story,” said the woman.
