Taking cognisance of media reports about a woman being allegedly stripped at a Delhi Police post in the capital and asked by cops to have sex with her 12-year-old son, the NHRC on Monday issued a notice to the Delhi Police chief.

Considering the contents of media reports as "distressing", the NHRC said, "If these are true, then it is a serious issue of violation of human rights of the victims."

The Commission asked the Delhi Police Commissioner to send a report on the incident within four weeks.

The incident reportedly happened on May 21 in Rajouri Garden police post, where Raghu (12) and Ramesh (10), sons of Mukesh Jha (45), were allegedly detained by the police on charges of theft.

The police allegedly ransacked the house of Mukesh in the Mayapuri area and thrashed him, along with his family members.

They were then taken to the police post, where the woman to have sex with her 12-year-old son or the constable.
