The CBI is not satisfied with chairman and MD of the state-owned Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) VRS Natrajan's replies during his two-day long questioning in connection with the Tatra deal.

The probe agency plans to call him again for questioning soon.

Natrajan was questioned a week ago in the agency headquarters here. The CBI has alleged that the BEML routed its purchase of Tatra heavy-duty trucks for the army through a London-based company Tatra Sipox (UK) Limited in violation of defence procurement norms.

"We are not satisfied with the answers given by Natrajan on the quality of trucks. We will seek further clarifications from him very soon," said a source.

According to CBI sources, retired Lieutenant General Tejinder Singh and two other retired army officials-PK Das and Anil Dutta, whose premises were searched by the agency in the Tatra deal investigation, knew each other. "All of them were in the army. So, it is not surprising that they knew each other. We are further investigating the aspect," said sources.
