Now, guards in cabs mandatory

Following the molestation of a Jet Airways employee, Delhi Police have issued a order under section 144 of CRPC, making it mandatory for companies working at airport, including airlines, to post a security guard with female employees when they travel in cabs.

Delhi Police has also issued guidelines for these companies to maintain a database of all employees.

Women too have been urged to ask for a verified security guard, if they are travelling alone in a cab.
