Parents from Noida ,Delhi and Ghaziabad — rush to the Aviva young scholar Schoolex at ExpoCentre in Noida’s Sector 62 for all information on reputed schools.

The two-day event, partnered by Hindustan Times, is an effort to make a difference to the existing school admission process.

Around 35 schools from the Noida and Ghaziabad are taking part.

Parents can evaluate and schools, collect admission forms, register their wards, schedule interaction dates with schools at the meet. On-the spot admissions are available to meritorious students and for foundation classes.

Parents were seen discussing student-teacher ratios, admission timings, education standards, total strength, annual intake, transport facility, fee structure and the facilities the schools offer.

Madhu Chandra, principal of Lotus Valley International School, said: “Our school, in association with NIIT, has designed special subject capsules in accordance with the curriculum of each class.”

Chitra Singh, head of the department at Alwar’s Sagar School said: “Our day boarding school is spread over 157 acres. The student-teacher ratio is 8:1. Besides Indian students, we have students from Nepal, Thailand, Zambia and South Korea.”

Pramod Sharma, director of Genesis Global School, said: “Our 23-acre campus offers both national and international curriculum. We also have an electronic surveillance system and an environment-friendly green campus.”

Sanjay Pandey a parent, said: “I am looking for a school for my son Arnav (1) a year later. This platform is a godsend.”

“On the first day we got a good response and we expect a bigger crowd on Sunday,” said Amit Sachdev, Schoolex co-founder.
