A non-functioning ATM of State Bank of India (SBI) in the national capital was today found damaged.
The incident was reported this morning about the ATM located between Liberty Cinema and Jeevan Bala Hospital on the Deshbandhu Gupta Marg.
A passerby who noticed that the bottom of the ATM machine open, informed bank officials, who in turn called the police.
“The bottom portion of the ATM was found open,” a senior police official said. Initial investigations indicated that it was not an attempted theft.
“Someone who tried to take money from it got angry and might have kicked it. This might have led to the damage,” the official said.
