Pakistan on Saturday expressed concern over the “communal violence” in Jammu & Kashmir and the house arrest of Hurriyat leaders, spokesperson of the Pakistan High Commission said in New Delhi.

Pakistan has also expressed concerns over the “organised demonstrations” outside its high commission when Friday prayers were on. “We have also expressed our serious concern to Indian government over the mobbing of the Lahour- bound bus,” said, Manzoor Ali Memon, spokesperson of the Pakistan High Commission.

Pakistan had earlier called in India’s deputy high commissioner, and sought greater security for its mission and personnel and residence of its High Commissioner in New Delhi.

Following the killing of five Indian soldiers by Pakistan army in the Poonch sector last Tuesday, ties between the neighbours have come under strain.
