Yadav filed an application in the court seeking direction to the Urban Development Ministry to allow him to stay at the government residence.

The Urban Development Ministry had asked Yadav's wife, Ranjeet Ranjan to vacate the place as they were not able to deposit the dues till 2 February.

The Yadavs had paid Rs two lakh but there still remained dues of Rs 2.5 lakhs, which the court directed them to clear before vacating the premises.
