Several parents on Thursday protested the decision of the Kendriya Vidyala Sanghathan (KVS) to transfer students, who took admission late, to the evening shift.
The parents gathered in front of a Kendriya Vidyalaya School in east Delhi to protest the shifting of their wards.

Anand's daughter, now a student of class eight, has been transfered to the evening shift from April 1, the day the new session started.
The KVS has issued a circular which states that there should not be more than 45 students in a class.
The students who had taken admission late will be transfered to evening shift, the circular said.
"We are Central Government employees and we face lot of problems with regard to shift. Morning shift for our children is convienent for us," said another parent.
The KVS has taken the step to ensure an ideal student teacher ratio in the class so that quality education can be imparted.
"We have done this with a good motive and to ensure quality education. But now we come across protest by parents in certain schools. We will discuss the issue amongst ourselves to sort out the matter," Shashi Kant, Assistant Comissioner, KVS, told
