Now you can even pay your electricity bills at metro stations. Private power distributor BSES has installed payment drop-boxes at all stations and interchange stations of the Delhi Metro.
A total of 30 stations on the Metro network will have these boxes. “The entire city travels by the Metro. It becomes convenient for people to drop payments at the stations during their daily commute,” said a BSES spokesman.
The drop boxes will be cleared every day for prompt processing of payments.
Some stations where these drop boxes have been installed include Central Secretariat, Chandni Chowk, Tis Hazari, Dwarka, Tagore Garden, Barakhambha Road and Jhandewalan.
Additional drop boxes will be installed at all the newer metro stations as well. For the complete list, BSES customers can also log on to their website www.bsesdelhi.com for more information. Consumers can also drop their cheques at any Metro station, irrespective of where they live.
The private distribution company allows its customers to pay electricity bills at over 2,000 locations through cash collection centres, Easy Bill outlets, ITZ Cards, Skypak drop boxes, Project Nikat Drop Boxes, credit card, net banking, auto debit, bill payment kiosks, etc.
