PDP's no to all-party meet on Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir's main opposition PDP has again rejected an invitation to attend an all-party meeting on Kashmir, this time convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss the current situation in the Valley.

An invitation was sent to the PDP for tomorrow's meeting of all political parties in the state.
However, the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti had announced her decision earlier saying "this is the state government's initiative...They have sought time from the Prime Minister to meet an all-party delegation from the state.
"We have nothing to do with it as we were not part of the all-party meet convened by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah last month," Mehbooba had said.
Earlier last month, the PDP refused to attend a meeting convened by J & K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Then too, the Prime Minister had spoken to PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti requesting her to attend the meeting. She had rejected it then too.
Congress leaders from the state as well as its ruling alliance National Conference feel that PDP was never interested in being a part of the "solution".
"Who called the meeting...whether it has been convened by the state or the Centre should not be an issue...the fact, it is being chaired by the Prime Minister himself should be enough for them to be present at the table," a senior Congress leader said.
PDP had been making quiet offers to the Congress to rethink its alliance.
The leaders in the government as well as in Congress were surprised over the silence being adopted by PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
"He has been a former Congress man and a Union Home Minister. If he cant understand the situation, then who will," the voices from Congress said.
