Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday visited ailing veteran Marxist leader Harkishan Singh Surjeet at the Metro Hospital in Noida on Sunday.
The prime minister enquired about the CPI-M leader's health condition from the doctors attending on him, hospital sources told PTI.
Surjeet, who was admitted at the hospital with an acute respiratory problem, sliped into coma on Friday.
Due to his failing health, Surjeet was, for the first time, not included in the CPI(M) Politburo at the party's 19th congress in April this year. He was instead designated as Special Invitee to the Central Committee.
