A day after Delhi Police apprehended the father and two members, including a woman, of an interstate gang that pushed the 14-year-old girl into prostitution, the southeast district police have arrested another woman, the fourth member of the gang.

Aarti was arrested from Munirka where she was living in a rented accommodation with her boyfriend for the past couple of months, police said.

She was arrested following interrogation of Pooja and her husband Sandeep Pandey, who were arrested on Wednesday.

Aarti was the one who had forced the minor girl into the flesh trade, barely three days after Pooja over the girl to in November last year, police said.

"Aarti is part of the prostitution racket that 'initiated' the 14-year-old girl into flesh trade. During interrogation of the couple (Pooja and Sandeep), it was learnt that Aarti is a big fish in the prostitution racket. The minor girl was sent to Aarti's house in Munirka by Pooja after she refused to marry an old man from UP," said a senior investigating officer.

Pooja and Aarti knew each other for over two years while they were neighbours in Govindpuri in Delhi.

They were running the prostitution racket for almost one and a half year. Before shifting to Munirka, Aarti was living in Kotla Mubarakpur area, police said.
