Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in a forest area of Ruchi Vihar in Rangpuri, the police said on Saturday.
Sonu Dhaiya (24) and Suraj alias Sonu (21) were arrested from Rangpuri bus stand as they tried to flee after seeing the police.
The police also recovered from the duo ATM cards, mobile phones of the victim, the belt allegedly used to strangulate the man and Rs 27,000.
With the arrest of the two persons, the police claimed to have solved a blind murder case of February 11 in which a man's body was found from the forest area of Ruchi Vihar in Rangpuri. The same day, the body of a woman, stuffed in a bag, was also found from New Delhi railway station.
The victim has been identified as Bansidhar Patra who worked as a safety supervisor with a private company at Mahipalpur Extension. The police said the victim was last seen with Sonu, a private labour contractor of the same company through which Patra used to get labourers.
Sonu said Patra was demanding commission and a new mobile phone from him as he was earning good money by providing labours.
