If neighbours are to be believed, the flat that housed the five alleged terrorists was also shared by five schoolboys from Bihar. These boys lived in another portion of it.
Two were students of class eight; two were in class nine while one of them was in class XI. They were all aged between 14 and 17 years, a neighbour on the condition of anonymity, told Hindustan Times. She claims that the police have picked them all up. The police, however, refused to comment on the allegations.
“I have known them for over a year. They appeared to be from good families and studied quite hard”, she said.
According to her the flat in which the alleged militants and the students lived is divided in two parts. In the front that faced the street lived these five students. They have been here for over a year now and study in a nearby school.
The alleged militants, she said, had moved into the flat recently, around a month or two ago. Her timing, however, corroborates police’s claim that the alleged militants came to Delhi from Ahmedabad on July 26.
She said she found the new occupants “suspicious” and a week ago, she had inquired about them from the schoolboys. “They said they had no idea about them or their activities”, she added.
