The Delhi Police have arrested two youths for allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman in their car in Mehrauli area on the night of November 18.

According to the victim, the duo abducted her from Andheria Mod and raped her in their Maruti Alto car. Later, they dumped her at an isolated spot in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

During investigation, it was revealed that the woman had met the duo at a pub in a mall in Gurgaon and was not abducted by them. The arrested have been identified as Balwant Singh and his friend Mahesh. Both the accused are natives of Bhiwadi and are into dairy business.

According to her, the duo had forcibly dragged her into their car near Andheria Mod. But, scrutiny of her phone call details did not show her location in that area,” said the officer. But since the woman was insistent on her allegations, she was sent for a medical examination which confirmed sexual assault.

“During interrogation, the duo denied abducting the woman and claimed that everything happened with her consent. The woman was demanding extra money, which they refused to pay. This led to a quarrel between them. The woman stepped out of the car somewhere in Bhiwadi and made call to the police,” added the officer.
