Digvijaya Singh

Congress’s Digvijaya Singh has termed the incident an RSS conspiracy. “RSS has promoted people like Anna Hazare and Ramdev. Now when Ramdev’s chips are down, they create this controversy to boost his image,” Singh alleged.

Refuting allegations of a Congress ploy, he dubbed Siddiqui “anti-Congress” and said, “In Okhla, he has put up posters demanding answers from Sonia Gandhi. He is also an Anna supporter.”

Meanwhile BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy condemned the incident and said, “It is becoming a common phenomenon for individuals to commit such incidents to get publicity.” But he also said that there was a “lurking suspicion” that the attack was prompted by Ramdev’s crusade against black money and corruption.
