The enforcement wing of town and country planning (DTP) department launched an offensive against commercial use of residential properties and zonal violations in DLF City, Sushant Lok and HUDA sectors. The DTP squad sealed three guesthouses, one play school, a spa, a restro-bar, and also damaged unauthorised constructions in these areas.

According to DTP officials three guest houses and one play school in DLF City Phase I were operating from residential complexes in violation of Punjab Scheduled Roads & Controlled Area Restrictions of Unregulated Development Act.

All four premises were sealed as per the provisions of Haryana Urban Development Act. Such buildings could be allowed to reopen only after the owners render a written undertaking with the department that they would remove commercial use in stipulated time period, the officials said.

The DTP squad also targeted a swanky commercial complex on DLF Golf Course Road after it received directions from the Haryana Chief Minister's Grievance Cell that some of the occupants were operating their business in violation of HUDA zoning norms. The DTP squad sealed a spa and a restro-bar on the fourth floor of the buildings here.

In Sudhant Lok Phase I also the squad demolished unauthorised structures at a residential plot which the owner had constructed without getting the layout plan approved from the authorities concerned. The squad also removed a fencing of a garden erected outside the house here.
