Hindi film director Prakash Jha will have to forgo his dream of holding a debate in the Delhi University yet again. The director, who along with the team of his upcoming film Aarakshan, had approached Hindu College to hold a debate on reservation in education, has been denied the permission by the Delhi police once again.
Last year, the director had wanted to host a debate on politics before the release of his film Rajneeti but was denied permission. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Kahn were expected to be part of the debate. "The debate could create a law and order problem since the subject of the movie is controversial. Also, since the Independence Day is approaching we don't have enough manpower to ensure that nothing untoward happens," said IB Rani, DCP, and north Delhi.
Hindu College authorities had expressed their desire to hold the debate and had sought permission for it.
