President’s son denies land-grabbing charges
Congress legislator and President Pratibha Patil’s son, Rajendra Shekhawat, on Friday rejected accusations of land grabbing by his family.
Congress legislator and President Pratibha Patil’s son, Rajendra Shekhawat, on Friday rejected accusations of land grabbing by his family.
“There is no question of there being any grabbing of the land. There is no question of there being any joint ownership,” he said in a statement on Friday.
“As a matter of fact, as of today, the entire land is in cultivating possession of Kishor Bansod from the last several years... Bansod is taking undue advantage of inclusion of his name in the revenue record along with the Shekhawat family,” he said.
Shekhawat clarified that the Sub-Division Officer, Daryapur, in Maharashtra had only ordered re-measurement of the land which would help both parties to get proper possession of the land belonging to them.
“The SDO has also cancelled the earlier mutation to allot proper numbers to the land holding of both parties,” he said.
