A 35-year-old librarian at Guru Harkishan Public School in southeast Delhi's Greater Kailash Part I alleged sexual misconduct against the school's principal with the police registering a case of molestation against the accused on Thursday.

"According to the written complaint that we received from the 35-year-old victim, the school's principal, identified as Surinder Veer Singh (52), has been making unwelcome sexual advances towards her since January 20," said a senior police officer.

According to the victim, a mother of two, Singh had been making indecent proposals to her despite repeated requests to fall in line.

"He would call me to his room and offer to take me on trips outside the city or for dinner and other such outings. When I told him that I was not interested and that I was happy with my family life, he said no one at home needed to know," the victim, who works as an assistant librarian at the said school, told Hindustan Times.

She said she hadn't been Singh's only victim and that he had approached two more women colleagues of hers with similar proposals.

"In fact, that is the reason why he has been transferred from one branch to the other with such speed. He was earlier at the India Gate branch of the school from where he was transferred to the Nanak Piau branch for trying to molest his women colleagues. Soon after, he was asked to leave and join the GK branch for the same reason," she said.

Sources in the school said the victim approached the police after the school authorities, who were aware of the incident and are said to be investigating it through an internal committee, refused to let either the victim or the complainant enter the school campus on February 5.

"They have been sent on a leave. We are conducting an inquiry into the matter and whosoever is found guilty will face action," HS Khanna, chairman of the school, told reporters.

Police said they have registered a case based on the victim's written complaint.

"We have registered a case in which the victim has been charged for outraging the modesty of a woman," said a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, the accused Principal, Surinder Veer Singh, told Hindustan Times, "This is a conspiracy against me. The three women in question are doing this because I wanted to investigate the fact that they have been wrongly appointed and court cases are pending against them. I don't even know them by face," he said.
