The outer district police have arrested a property dealer and his two employees for allegedly kidnapping and murdering the former's nephew. Family rivalry and property dispute are being cited as reasons behind the crime. The dealer has been identified as Yogesh Dabas, 24. The other accused are Sanjay, 23, and Shahjad, 19.

DCP (outer) BS Jaiswal said the arrest came following an investigation into the murder of one Manish of the Kanjhawala area. Manish had been missing since October 29. A team was sent to Fatehpur, UP, as his cell phone was traced there, he said.

"We suspected Dabas's role. He has confessed to the murder. At his instance, Sanjay and Shahjad were caught. Manish's body was recovered from Bhagya Vihar on November 5," he said. Efforts were being made to arrest Bahadur, a co-accused, he added.

"The families of the accused and the victim had jointly sold a plot and there was a feud over the distribution of the amount. Dabas felt he was cheated," he said. Dabas along with his staff decided to take revenge from his cousins and planned to kill Manish, son of his cousin Satish.
