A 25-year-old property dealer was shot dead and his two partners stabbed in their Jagatpuri office in east Delhi on Saturday evening.
The incident took place at around 4.30 pm. The deceased was identified as Sahil Choudhary, who dealt in real estate from his office in Radhey Shyam Park at Parwana Road. Police attributed the incident to Choudhary's rivalry with a local resident, Bunty, over the issue of Rs 50,000.
According to a senior police officer, Choudhary along with his partners and friends was sitting in his office when around ten people carrying pistol, baseball bats and knives arrived there and vandalised the office.
"Choudhary and his friends tried to stop them but the assailants continued vandalising the office. In the meantime, they attacked Choudhary with baseball bats and inflicted multiple stab wounds on his body before pumping a bullet into his body. Choudhary's partners —Shahid and Anas — were also stabbed when they tried to save Choudhary. The assailants escaped before the police reached the spot after receiving a PCR call," said a police officer. Choudhary, Shahid and Anas were rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital, where Choudhary was pronounced dead on arrival. The condition of the injured was stated to be stable.
"Bunty had threatened Choudhary several times in the recent past,” the officer added.
