'Right draft should reach Parliament, else will fast'

Anna Hazare met Congress President Sonia Gandhi to explain the stand of the civil society on the issue of the lokpal bill. The social acitivist threatened to go on fast from August 16 if the right lokpal draft did not reach Parliament.

Hazare said that the right draft should reach Parliament otherwise they will go on to fast from August 16.

Arvind Kejriwal said that they informed Gandhi about six differences on lokpal bill draft and that the talks were good.

He added that they gave an explanation for reasons regarding the differences in thier stance.

Team Anna has been meeting political party leaders to build a consensus on the bill drafted by the civil society.

The team met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Friday.
