The Rashtriya Janata Dal, with four MPs, today announced to extend "unconditional support" to the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.

RJD leader and former Company Affairs minister in the previous UPA government PC Gupta said he would meet President Pratibha Patil this evening to hand over the letter of support of his party.

"We have decided to extend unconditional support to the UPA government as we have always maintained that RJD is a part of the UPA," Gupta told reporters in New Delhi.
