Five persons, including a brother-sister duo and a woman, were injured after a portion of an under construction roof fell on them in outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala around 11am on Sunday.

The injured have been identified as Shada, 5, her brother Umesh, 2, Neelofar, Nikku Singh and Ram Khelawan. Singh and Khelawan are labourers and they were working on the roof when it collapsed, police said Two JCB machines along with rescue teams from Delhi fire department were rushed to the spot to clear the debris and rescue the victims, a fire officer said. The victims were taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital from where they were discharged after preliminary medical attention.
