A select few from the Delhi Police, especially female officers across ranks, are gearing-up for a ‘rowdy’ night-out on the town (pun intended).
Meant to be a morale booster-cum-parting gift from their commissioner, around 140 officers will enjoy a special screening of Bollywood’s latest action flick, ‘Rowdy Rathore’ on Wednesday evening.
“It will be the conventional night show — from 9pm till midnight, so that it doesn’t interfere with their duty timings. It’s something of an out-of-the-box way of showing we care,” said a senior police officer.
The guest list includes four women IPS officers currently serving in the capital — DCP (south) Chhaya Sharma, DCP (north) Sindhu Pillai, additional DCP (central) Aslam Khan and additional DCP (Special Protection Unit for Women and Children) Suman Nalwa.
In addition, four women officers, one from each of its four local police ranges, one woman officer each from its five traffic ranges and woman officers from the SWAT are also invited to the Film Division Auditorium on central Delhi’s Mahadev Marg.
