RSS ideologue and a founding member of Swadeshi Jagran Manch Muralidhar Rao was on Monday appointed adviser to BJP chief Rajnath Singh.
“Muralidhar Rao would be adviser to the president apart from the existing adviser Prabhat Jha,” a release said.
Rao, who was brought into the party last month as a national executive member, will give economic policy inputs to the party.
In an another development Sudhanshu Mittal, a former aide of late leader Pramod Mahajan, was appointed co-incharge for the northeastern states.
“Sudhanshu Mittal would be co-incharge and would assist S S Ahluwalia,” it said.
Mittal played a key role in sealing seat sharing arrangement with AGP in Assam.
