A mysterious explosion in south Delhi late Wednesday injured a man and damaged several cars. The low-intensity blast follows a string of similar explosions in the area that continue to baffle police.
Packs of tiny nails wrapped with the ‘crude’ explosive darted in the air and got wedged into cars parked at a traffic signal in Lado Sarai. The bonnet of a Mercedes was blown off by the impact.
Most of these blasts have been reported in Lado Sarai and adjoining areas, suggesting that the same person or a group based here is behind the explosions, said a police officer. Eight such blasts have taken place in south Delhi in the past few years. Not a single case has been solved.
