The Rajasthan Government wondered how the Orissa High Court grant grant anticipatory bail to Mohanthy senior. His anticipatory bail was due to expire on April 12.
B B Mohanty, presently working as the DGP, Home Guards, Orissa, stood surety for his son Bitihotra's surrender but failed to ensure his presence when required. The Rajasthan police accused him of complicity in his son's escape and registered a FIR seeking to arrest him.
