Highlight Story

Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit conferred the 21st National Excellence Awards of TP Jhunjhunwala Foundation on poet and lyricist Dr Gopal Das Neeraj and physician Dr Parveen Gulati in a well-attended function in New Delhi recently.

A master at expressing human emotions, Neeraj's verse touches the very depths of the human heart. He is the creative genius who gave us such soulful songs as 'Likhe jo khat tujhe', 'Ai bhai jara dekh ke chalo', 'Dil aaj shaayar hai', 'Phoolon ke rang se', etc.

Dr Gulati is a noted radiologist who has contributed immensely to patient care and advancement of cross-sectional Diagnostic Imaging in India.

A member of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) and Institutional Ethics Review Board, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. Gulati has helped pave the way for safer and more ethical practices in imaging centers all over the country.

On the occasion, artificial limbs and aids were distributed free of cost to patients of Safdarjung Hospital, St. Stephens' Hospital, family of disabled people and other institutions serving the differently-abled.
