Maintaining that it had taken up the issue of Ghulam Nabi Fai with the US earlier, New Delhi on Monday said, the funding of the so-called Kashmir centres in various parts of the world including London and Brussels should now be looked into.
Sources said the issue of Fai will also come up during the forthcoming India-Pakistan talks.
Official sources said that doubt was cast on the activities of Fai for years, and he was on Indian radar of suspicion.
"Now the link between the ISI and the Kashmiri American Council in the US is exposed, the funding of the Kashmiri centres in Brussles and London should be looked into."
The FBI arrested Fai on Tuesday for working as an unregistered agent of Pakistan, with funding from that country's ISI.
Sources said what is also exposed is that how the ISI funded group was working on the US law-makers.
Regarding the forthcoming talks, sources said there is "better communication" and "temperatures were low" after the resumption of talks between New Delhi and Islamabad.
On reports Pakistan foregin minister Hina Rabbani Khar planning to meet Hurriyat representatives during her visit here, the sources said "it is a bad idea" but New Delhi hoped that she will tell them to speak the language of peace.
