Delhi Government has finally sent its rebuttal to the Shunglu committee report on the alleged irregularities in developing city infrastructure for the Commonwealth Games.
Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit told reporters that the report was sent to the union home secretary on Saturday morning.
The reply, which runs into more than 1,000 pages and has been compiled into two volumes, gives “paragraph wise” rebuttal to each point raised by the committee, sources said.
Senior officials said the government has also asked the home ministry’s approval to post the contents of the report on the internet.
The Delhi Cabinet had approved the contents of the report prepared by three senior officers of the Delhi government on May 25. The reply has trashed the Shunglu committee’s findings arguing that they were based on “presumptions” and “assumptions”.
