The tragedy occurred at around 3 am when a speeding car hit six members of a family waiting for an auto rickshaw near the roadside in the Sangam Vihar locality. Police have arrested the driver.

All the six victims were rushed to the nearby All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences where the doctors declared three-year-old Ankit and his six-year-old sibling brought dead.

The injured, identified as Lal Chand, his wife Suman, his brother-in-law Sombir and his one-year-old son Annu, were reported to be in serious condition, police said.
