In a bid to educate children about the dos and don'ts while on the Metro in a fun way, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has reintroduced games such as Snakes and Ladders, and Ludo with instructions to be followed while traveling in the metro printed on them.
The game of Ludo also has instructions printed behind it and a Metro where 'home' usually is.
According to DMRC officials, the games have been introduced to educate young Metro commuters, in the age group of five to 12 years, on safety and maintaining cleanliness inside the Metro. The games will be available for sale from Friday at the Metro Museum in Patel Chowk station.
The aim is to make the commuters understand their duties as Metro riders while playing this game with their friends and family. The game also has a route map of the Delhi Metro.
Ludo has a list of general instructions for Metro travel especially designed for young commuters.
"These instructions have been designed in simple language and with special emphasis on inculcating etiquettes and good manners. The purpose is to educate commuters in interesting ways so that while playing these games they will also learn," Delhi Metro spokesperson Anuj Dayal said.
Metro is also introducing special bookmarks to cater to the younger generation.
These have messages related to women commuters, smart cards, dos and don'ts and information of Delhi Metro lines. One set of Book Marks will have four different book marks on topics related to Delhi Metro.
