Even as the BJP reels under dissensions and internal squabbles, an RSS-affiliated body has invited some of the leaders who pointed fingers at the party leadership to address a seminar this week.
The organisation, India Foundation, is holding a seminar near Mumbai on September 9 and 10 which is likely to be addressed by Murli Manohar Joshi, Arun Shourie, expelled leader Jaswant Singh's son and former MP Manvendra Singh, journalist Swapan Dasgupta, S Gurumurthy, Bal Apte, and a host of others. Even RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and BJP president Rajnath Singh have been invited.
"As of now, I plan to attend the seminar but since I am getting a medical check-up of my wife done, I cannot confirm," Shourie said.
Shourie has already vented his ire several times after the Lok Sabha elections, with the recent outburst in an interview where he called the party high command "Humpty Dumpty, "Tarzan" and "Alice in Blunderland". He has been served a clarification notice by the party.
Joshi, a known critic of Leader of Opposition L K Advani, will also be participating in the seminar.
"Those attending the seminar may not agree on several issues but that is not a problem. Don't MPs from BJP, Congress and even the Left parties sit across each other and discuss issues in Parliament?" Joshi told PTI.
