Delhiites woke up to a sunny morning on Friday even as the minimum temperature rose to 5.6 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature was recorded a degree below normal at 5.6 while the maximum remained normal at 21.0 degrees, Met department in New Delhi said.
The minimum temperature in the national capital had dipped to 4.5 degrees on Thursday after hovering around eight degrees for a couple of days.
The Met office has forecast partly cloudy weather in the next 24 hours and that fog could revisit the national capital on Saturday.
January this year seems to be warmer as compared to last year when the minimum temperature dropped below five degrees a number of times.
The season's lowest temperature was recorded on January 2 when the minimum temperature plummeted to four degrees. In 2008, the lowest temperature during the month was recorded on January two when the mercury dipped to 1.9 degrees.
